The good news for the economy is that employment levels are picking as companies start hiring again. In the heavy construction sector, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the sector added an average of 2.7% or 226,200 employees in 2015. An average of 716,000 Americans were employed in the civil engineering sector — the highest level since 2009 when the sector took a hit during the financial crisis. The data helps allay fears that the country’s economy is heading into another recession and reinforces the case for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates this year. #MergentInc #industryreports #heavyconstruction
